A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig – extension of overnight traffic signals on A9 north of Jubilee Bridge/Tay Crossing

Road users are advised that works which began on 31 August on the A9 north of the Jubilee Bridge/Tay Crossing and were anticipated to conclude on Tuesday 29 September have now been extended to Friday 2 October.

The overnight temporary traffic signals with convoy working in two locations will now be in place on the A9 in between Jubilee Bridge and Ballinluig for an additional three weekday nights between 19.00 and 06.00.

Some of these works are required to enable construction of a temporary realignment of the A9 to the west of its existing location to facilitate future construction work as part of the A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig project.

The temporary realignment, which was previously anticipated to be in use from 29 September 2026, will instead be in operation from Thursday 1 October. Road users are advised to pay attention to altered signage and line marking layouts as they approach the area.

The other element of the works, in relation to utility diversion works in this area, will be complete by Friday 2 October and the temporary traffic signals will be removed.
