A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig – Overnight traffic signals and road realignment at Dowally North junction
Upcoming temporary traffic management measures and changes to road layout on the A9, just south of the Dowally North junction as part of the A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig works.
Three-way temporary traffic signals with convoy working will be in place south and north of Dowally East junction on the A9 in this area for approximately two weeks from Monday 31 August to approximately Friday 11 September 2026 between the hours of 7pm and 7am. No works will take place on Saturday or Sunday evenings. These works are required to facilitate carriageway widening and removal and installation of new road markings ahead of diversion of traffic on to realigned lanes.
From Friday 11 September, temporary line markings and signage will guide traffic onto the temporary realigned section of the A9 carriageway. This work is required to facilitate upcoming construction work in this area.
Road users are asked to approach the area with care and allow extra time for their journeys while these works are carried out. The dates for these works may change dependent on weather conditions. For live updates, please refer to the Traffic Scotland website.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrian users will be maintained at all times.
