A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig – temporary traffic signals and lane closures for site clearance works
Road users are advised that overnight temporary traffic signals will be in place on the A9 between Jubilee Bridge and Ballinluig from Monday 24 November 2025 for approximately four months until March 2026 as part of A9 Dualling works. This is to facilitate site clearance works and temporary site access construction works for the Tay Crossing to Ballinluig project.
The temporary traffic signals and convoy working will be in place from 19:30 to 06:00 each day from 24 November. No works will take place on Saturday or Sunday night.
The traffic signals will be located on the A9 between Jubilee Bridge and Ballinluig throughout the period as works dictate and will be manually operated if necessary to manage traffic flows. The location of the temporary traffic signals will change as works progress, so road users are advised to take care on approach to the area and follow all temporary traffic signage.
A temporary speed restriction of 30mph will be implemented on approach to, and throughout the works area.
During the Christmas period, this traffic management will be temporarily removed between 17 December 2025 and 7 January 2026.
These traffic management measures are in place to ensure the safety of both road users and the workforce.
Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained at all times.
Road users are advised to approach the area with care and allow extra time for their journeys whilst these works are undertaken.
This planned traffic management is weather dependent and subject to change, please refer to the Traffic Scotland website for updates.
