A9 Dualling: Tomatin to Moy – temporary traffic signals for overhead cable works
To allow for the safe removal and replacement of overhead cables as part of the A9 Dualling: Tomatin to Moy project, road users are advised that short road closures managed by temporary traffic signals will take place on the A9 on 23 February and 1 March.
Monday 23 February
Traffic in both directions will be held by red temporary traffic signals for a 10‑minute period between 10:00pm and 10:10pm.
This will be located on the A9 1km south of the temporary realignment at Lynebeg. Once the works are complete, traffic will return to normal.
Sunday 1 March
Traffic in both directions will be held by red temporary traffic signals twice, with two separate 15 minute closures between 8:00am and 8:40am.
This activity will take place on the A9 1km South of the Lynebeg realignment. Normal traffic flow will resume as soon as each cable operation is safely completed.
Access for pedestrians and emergency services will be maintained at all times. Traffic signals will be manned throughout the works to ensure safety and minimise disruption.
These short road closures may cause some delay, and we apologise for any inconvenience. The measures are essential to protect both the workforce and road users during these overhead cable operations.
Please note that all dates are weather‑dependent and may be subject to change.
