A9 Dualling: Traffic management update - new road alignment near Tomatin

There will be changes to traffic management layouts on the A9 north of Tomatin, as works to extend the current road realignment in this area progress.

To facilitate the new realignment, temporary traffic signals and a convoy system will be in place for one night from 7pm on Wednesday 27 May until 6am on Thursday 28 May. These temporary traffic signals and convoy system will be in place to the north of the existing realignment at Tomatin and will relocate to 500m south of the Invereen roundabout on one occasion during the night. Once stopped at the temporary traffic signals, drivers will be guided through the works by a convoy vehiclefor approximatelytravelling at a controlled speed.

Realignment of the A9 north of Tomatin

Following completion of the works, from Thursday 28 May, both lanes of the A9 will use the new extended temporary realignment north of Tomatin. This will support construction of the new Tomatin grade-separated junction and is expected to remain in place until around the end of 2026.
