An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance and Corporate Services (FCS) Team as an Assistant Finance Manager. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and strengthen a broad range of skills and competencies, whilst gaining valuable insight into the important work carried out by the agency.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the timely and accurate completion of budgeting monitoring and reporting exercises.
- Support the provision of regular, high quality financial information and analysis, developing and using knowledge of local directorate and policy issues.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with business areas and the wider finance team.
- Provide support and advice on finance and governance related issues, the application of robust financial controls, and specific commissions to the Finance Business Partner, other directorates and financial accounting team as required.
- Assist as required in the preparation and collation of the Transport Scotland Annual Report and Accounts and liaise with internal and external audit.
