The DfT consultation is seeking your views on the draft code of practice which provides statutory guidance on the signing, lighting and guarding of street and road works on public roads to help protect workers, road users and pedestrians. The proposed updates reflect changes in legislation, guidance and working practice since the code was last updated in 2013.

Feedback from this consultation will be used by the DfT to ensure the revised code s clear, practical and effective for those who use it.
