Research

Transport Scotland commissions, funds, assists and conducts a range of transport related research and analysis.

Research and analysis plays a key role in the development, implementation and evaluation of Transport Scotland policies and delivery. It helps to make sure that policy debate is informed by the best research evidence and thinking from across the social sciences and engineering.

Some of this work is carried out by staff within the Agency whilst other research is commissioned externally. See Public Contracts Scotland for any new research opportunities.

We publish our research findings in the form of research publications, including research reports and research summary documents.
