A9 Dualling Design Manual for Roads & Bridges (DMRB) Stage 1 Report
Transport Scotland appointed consultants Jacobs to undertake Preliminary Engineering Services (PES) for the A9 improvements between Perth and Inverness. The current stage of the PES commission is the equivalent of a Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) Stage 1 Assessment.
A DMRB Stage 1 Assessment involves:
- Identification of baseline (existing) conditions and constraints
- Developing indicative corridor options
- Evolving corridor wide strategies for key elements (such as junctions, lay-bys and the likes)
