LEZ regulations - Data Protection Impact Assessment

It is a requirement under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to complete a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) for all projects involving personal data and privacy.

A DPIA has been undertaken for the LEZ regulations, as the LEZ regulations are likely to lead to:

  • systematically monitoring a publicly accessible place on a large scale
  • processing personal data in a way which involves tracking individuals’ online or offline location or behaviour
  • processing special category data.
