*Only relates to journeys over a quarter of a mile. Between 2007 and 2008 the question was asked of 1/3 of the sample and was then not asked again until 2012. From 2012 to 2016 the question was asked of the full sample every other year. It was not asked in 2017 and 2018, but will be asked again in alternate years from 2019.
