This Strategy sets out our corporate procurement aims and associated actions to support the achievement of Scottish Ministers’ ambition and vision for transport, as well as the strategic direction of Transport Scotland’s procurement activity for 2026-2028.

To support the development of its Islands Connectivity Plan, Transport Scotland is undertaking research to inform the future level of service provision on Clyde and Hebrides and Northern Isles Ferry Services across Sound of Barra.

Transport Scotland emphasises the importance of procurement and commercial capability in achieving its objectives. Aligned with Scottish Government goals, it updates its Corporate Procurement Strategy to optimise public resources while promoting sustainability and inclusivity.
