The A83 Trunk Road (Kinloch Road, Campbeltown) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2018

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A83 Tarbet – Lochgilphead – Campbeltown Trunk Road from the junction between Kinloch Road, Campbeltown and the Esplanade, Campbeltown in a south easterly direction along Kinloch Road, around Old Quay Street roundabout, Campbeltown in a south easterly direction to its junction with the south eastbound carriageway of Hall Street, Campbeltown and along the south eastbound carriageway of Hall Street to its junction with New Quay Roundabout, Campbeltown, a distance of 375 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate the Campbeltown RNLI Gala and Raft Race, will be in operation from 30 June to 1 July 2018 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes.
