The A85 Trunk Road (Methven) (Temporary Prohibition on Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 2021

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting waiting, loading and unloading on that length of the A85 Perth – Lochearnhead Trunk Road from a point 93 metres or thereby east of its junction with unclassified road, C409, Methven in a general westerly direction along Main Street, Methven to a point 148 metres or thereby west of its junction with James Street, Methven a total distance of 1.4 kilometres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate proposed works and due to the likelihood of danger to the public will be in operation from 2 August until 6 November 2021 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will be carried out between the days Sunday - Friday during the hours of 19:00 hrs – 07:00 hrs. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.  

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes, or a vehicle being used for carrying out the works.
