The A9 Trunk Road (Calvine) (Temporary 30mph and 20mph Speed Restriction and Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2017

The Scottish Ministers hereby give notice that they have made the above Order, under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of imposing speed restrictions of 30mph and 20mph on that length of the M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road from a point 200 metres or thereby east of the extended centre line of the junction with the B847 to a point 470 metres or thereby west-northwest of the said junction at the speed camera warning signs, a distance of 670 metres or thereby.

The Order will also have the effect of restricting the use of parts of that length of the M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road from a point 205 metres or thereby west-northwest of the extended centre line of the junction with the B847 to a point 345 metres or thereby west-northwest of that junction, a distance of 140 metres or thereby.

The order will be in place from 12 September 2017 to 14 September 2017 and is required to ensure that a roadside interview survey may be undertaken safely. A risk to staff working within the site has been identified while traffic is travelling at the normal road speed.

Alternative Routes

An alternative route for traffic during the restriction is not required.
