The A90 Trunk Road (Kingsway West, Dundee) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2023

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on the following lengths of road along the M90/A90/A9000 Trunk Road at  Kingsway West, Dundee: -  

1. The northbound off-slip leading to the A923 Coupar Angus interchange from its  junction with the A90 Kingsway West to the A923 Coupar Angus Interchange for its full length, a distance of 240 metres or thereby.

2. The northbound on-slip leading to the A90 Kingsway West from its junction with the A923 Coupar Angus Interchange to the A90 Kingsway West for its full length, a distance of 227 metres or thereby.

3. The southbound off-slip leading to the A923 Coupar Angus interchange from its  junction with the A90 Kingsway West to the A923 Coupar Angus Interchange for its full length, a distance of 223 metres or thereby.

4. The southbound on-slip leading to the A90 Kingsway West from its junction with the A923 Coupar Angus Interchange to the A90 Kingsway West for its full length, a distance of 201 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend event to take place safely operation will be in operation from 10:30am 26th May until 01:01am 29th May 2023 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of length of road as indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard or a vehicle being used for facilitating the holding of the relevant event.

Alternative Routes 

An alternative route  is not required.
