The A96 Trunk Road (Academy Street, Nairn) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road) Order 2023

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the A96 Craibstone – Inverness Trunk Road known as Academy Street, Nairn from its junction with Beech Avenue to its junction with Albert Street, a distance of 563 metres or thereby.

The Order, which is required to facilitate the Nairn Remembrance Day Parade, 2023, and to enable members of the public to watch this event, will be in operation from 12th November until 13th November 2023 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.  

The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for facilitating the holding of the relevant event.
