The A96 Trunk Road (Keith) (Temporary Prohibition on Use of Road and Temporary 30mph and 20mph Speed Restrictions) Order 2019

The Scottish Ministers hereby give notice that they have made the above Order, under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of temporarily prohibiting the use of parts of that length of the A96 Huntly to Keith Trunk Road from a point 3.36 kilometres north-west of the extended centre line of its junction with the B9115 road to Drummuir to a point 810 metres south east of the extended centre line of its junction with the Denwell Road, a distance of 130 metres or thereby.

The Order will also have the effect of imposing temporary speed restrictions of 30mph and 20mph on that length of the A96 Huntly to Keith Trunk Road from a point 2.86 kilometres north-west of the extended centre line of its junction with the B9115 road to Drummuir to a point 310 metres south east of the extended centre line of its junction with the Denwell Road, a distance of 1 kilometre or thereby.

The Order will be in place from 8 October 2019 to 10 October 2019 and is required to ensure that a roadside interview survey may be undertaken safely. A risk to staff working within the site has been identified while traffic is travelling at the normal road speed.

Alternative Routes

An alternative route for traffic during the restriction is not required.
