The A96 Trunk Road (Tyrebagger Junction Area) (Temporary Prohibitions of Specified Turns) Order 2023

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of length of the A96 Craibstone – Inverness Trunk Road from a point of 822 metres or thereby west of its junction with the centre line of the road known as the B979 to Tyrebagger, Aberdeenshire, in a generally easterly direction to a point of 504 metres or thereby west of the point where it meets the circulation lanes of the Craibstone Roundabout, a distance of 2.2 kilometres or thereby from making the following turns:

1. All right turns from the eastbound carriageway of the A96 Craibstone – Inverness Trunk Road to the road known as the B979 to Tyrebagger, Aberdeenshire.

2. All right turns from the road known as the B979 to Tyrebagger, Aberdeenshire, to the eastbound carriageway of the A96 Craibstone – Inverness Trunk Road.

3. All U-turns.

The Order, which is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near that length of road, will be in operation from 10 April until 12 June 2023 and will only have effect in relation to such part or parts of the length of road as is indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, police or coastguard purposes or a vehicle being used for carrying out the works.
