The M90/A90 Trunk Road (North Water Bridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Specified Turns) Order 2017

The Scottish Ministers give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 temporarily prohibiting traffic on that length of the M90/A90 – Edinburgh to Fraserburgh Trunk Road from a point 92 metres or thereby north of its junction with the C6K road at North Water Bridge Junction southwards to a point 27 metres or thereby south of that junction, a distance of 119 metres of thereby from making the following turns:

  1. All right turns from the C6K road at North Water Bridge Junction to the south bound carriageway of the M90/A90 Trunk Road.
  2. All right turns from the south bound carriageway of the M90/A90 Trunk Road to the C6K road at North Water Bridge Junction.

The Order, which is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near that length of road to allow for junction improvement works to be carried out, will be in operation from 5 June 2017 until 31 August 2017 but will only have effect in relation to such lengths of road as are indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.  The Order does not apply to works vehicles or vehicles being used in an emergency for fire brigade, coastguard, ambulance or police purposes or to acts done with the permission or upon the direction of a police constable in uniform.
