Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Potential in the Scottish Transport Sector From Recent Advances in Transport Fuels and Fuel Technologies

This study assesses the potential greenhouse gas emissions reductions from the Scottish transport sector, in the light of recent technology progress. This progress was then combined with detailed modelling of Scotland’s vehicle fleet to identify emissions pathways for a range of policy options out to the mid 2030’s. The research published here was used to inform the transport chapter of the draft Climate Change Plan:  http://www.gov.scot/Topics/Environment/climatechange
