Smart Ferry Vouchers Equality Impact Assessment Results

Transport Scotland, as part of its modernisation of concessionary ticketing programme, is introducing smart ferry vouchers to people in Orkney and Shetland who are national concessionary travel cardholders. An Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) of this change was conducted across 2022 and 2023 to identify potential impacts on individuals with protected characteristics. The EQIA informed the approach Transport Scotland has taken with the design and introduction of the change so as to enhance positive impacts and remove or mitigate potential negative impacts.
