Transport Scotland Trunk Roads Annual Users Survey 2025
In line with the Scottish Government’s National Indicator to ‘improve people’s perceptions of the quality of public services’, Transport Scotland have been undertaking annual surveys since 2007 to determine the level of road user satisfaction in relation to a defined set of trunk road services, e.g. road condition, road works and winter maintenance. Transport Scotland aims to deliver a safe, efficient, cost-effective and sustainable transport system for the benefit of the people of Scotland, playing a key role in helping to achieve the Scottish Government’s Purpose of increasing sustainable economic growth with opportunities for all of Scotland to flourish. In order to understand customers’ expectations, an annual survey of a representative cross section of road users is undertaken, to identify which aspects of the trunk road service are important to them and to ascertain the level of overall satisfaction. This report presents the results of the 2025 Trunk Road Users Survey, conducted by Ipsos Scotland on behalf of Transport Scotland.
