Screening decisions and deferral directions

An order can create and empower Harbour Authorities to undertake works projects or vary their existing harbour powers. Where a project is proposed to be authorised a screening process must be undertaken. Ministers may also defer the Environmental Impact Assessment and both screening decisions and deferral directions must be published.
