National Bus Travel Concession Scheme for Young Persons (Scotland) Order 2021
Regulations were laid in the Scottish Parliament on 21 January 2021, together with accompanying documents and Impact Assessments. The Regulations were approved by the Parliament on 3 March 2021. This will enable us to make the preparations necessary for the new National Bus Travel Concession Scheme for Young Persons. The scheme established by these regulations would provide free bus travel throughout Scotland for all those resident in Scotland aged 18 and under. Further regulations have been laid in draft which, if approved by Parliament, will extend the age limit to age 21 and under.
The new scheme is scheduled to start operating for travel on 31 January 2022.
