Road users will welcome news that a much anticipated A737 upgrade has taken a step forward with a contract notice inviting bids from construction companies.

Commenting on the data which includes the casualty figures up to the end of January this year, Stuart Wilson, Chair of the A9 Safety Group, said:

There will be a series of closures on the M73 and restricted access to the M74 for road surfacing over the next five days as part of the M8 M73 M74 Motorway Improvements Project.

The Eurocentral south roundabout is to be partially closed for the next seven days for road surfacing as part of the M8 M73 M74 Motorway Improvements Project.
