The A82 and A87 Trunk Roads (Invergarry) (40mph Speed Limit and Part Time 20mph Speed Limit) Order 20[ ]

The Scottish Ministers hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (c), and 124(1)(d) of, and paragraph 27 of, schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of imposing a 40mph speed limit and a part time 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

40mph Speed Limit

1. That length of the A82 Dalnottar- Inverness Trunk Road at Invergarry from a point 200 metres or thereby southeast of the point where it meets the extended centreline of the U1031 unclassified Mandally Road, northeastwards to a point 1005 metres or thereby east of the point where it meets the extended centreline of the A87, a distance of 1.59 kilometres or thereby.

2. That length of the A87 Invergarry- Kyle of Lochalsh- Borve- Uig Trunk Road from the point where it meets the extended centreline of the A82 Dalnottar to Inverness Trunk Road, westwards to a point 739 metres or thereby west of the point where it meets the extended east kerbline of the unclassified U1187 Garry Crescent, a distance of 1.23 kilometres or thereby.

Part Time 20mph Speed Limit

3. That length of the A87 Invergarry- Kyle of Lochalsh- Borve- Uig Trunk Road at Invergarry from a point 60 metres or thereby east of the point where it meets the extended east kerbline of the unclassified U1187 Garry Crescent, westwards to a point 145 metres or thereby west of the point where it meets the extended east kerbline of the unclassified U1187 Garry Crescent, a distance of 205 metres or thereby.

In accordance with the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020, Schedule 6, Part 3, para 9, the proposed Orders and plans will not be available for inspection at public display locations.
