Widening the road to improve overtaking opportunities

Transport Scotland are working to improve traffic flow at the Sherriffhall Roundabout, which currently experiences high levels of congestion.

The Sheriffhall Roundabout is a key junction on the A720 Edinburgh City Bypass. This six-point roundabout is currently being assessed for grade separation work.

The project involved the construction of a new off-line bypass to the east of the town of Dalry and associated junctions to connect to the existing A737 Trunk Road.
