This extended service now enables almost 470 children entitled to free school travel to use their Young Scot saltirecard, pre-loaded with their school travel ticket, to tap on and off bus during school hours

The new service now enables 160 pupils to travel to and from school by simply tapping their Young Scot saltirecard on any Stagecoach electronic ticketing machine within the region

Customers may purchase and load 1 day and 7 day Grasshopper smart tickets that can be used on any bus in the region and loaded onto any Stagecoach card, First Touch card, Grasshopper card, the National Entitlement, Young Persons or Kidz card – the saltirecard family of smartcards

A smart e-purse which enables passengers to add e-money onto their Shiel Buses saltirecards either online or on the bus
