Scottish Transport Statistics 2025

This publication provides a broad range of transport statistics including road vehicles, traffic, casualties, bus and rail passengers, road and rail freight, air and water transport and personal travel.

An error was identified in the ‘Operator revenue’ section of the commentary in Chapter 2 - Bus and Coach travel.

The figures were not correctly transferred from the data tables into the commentary, meaning the statistics reported within this section of the text were incorrect. This has now been corrected. The production of this section of commentary is a manual part of the publication process and we are introducing new checks of these figures for future versions of the publication.
